• Nutrient References Values (NRVs)
In this session, you will learn about the standards that define the amounts of nutrients and energy we need to consume in order to optimise health and wellbeing. These are known as Nutrient Reference Values (NRVs) and consist of a set of nutrient intake values. Most developed countries have a set of reference values for each nutrient, with the NRVs defining the amount of nutrients that we need to be consume to best support health.

The interactive activity below contains short videos , comprehension questions for self-check and supporting vocabulary inputs.
Work through the interactive book and complete the tasks. When you watch the videos, don't forget to take notes
Effective notes can save you lots of time when it comes to revision. Revision is an essential part of learning to strengthen your memory and connect new knowledge with existing one.

Some of the vocabulary used in this book maybe already familiar to you, but if it is not, have a look at the Glossary available on the course page.

Completion of this interactive activity will help you be an active participant in the live workshops. Bring your notes to class, they may be really helpful!
