Food Safety Regulations
Food businesses are required to ensure that they provide safe food for human consumption and the systems are in place to train the staff on the matters of food safety.
In Food safety regulations course focus of the study would be to provide an overview of food safety, related regulations and their importance. Students will learn food safety hazards and their types, importance of food safety in daily life, food safety practices and general requirements of food safety. Techniques to identify food safety issues and information pertaining to the corrective measures will be provided.
The course is designed to provide a base to the students for further studies along these lines and to consider related professions as a career: food safety regulatory authorities, scientific and research organisations and food businesses.
