This unit develops a basic knowledge of finance from the corporate financial manager's point of view, and develops skills in planning and decision making in the financial area. Topics include equity raising, debt and convertible securities, dividend and capital structure decisions, payout policy, capital budgeting with leverage and mergers and acquisitions. Therefore, this unit builds on the concepts of corporate finance developed in introduction to finance, which reviews investment decisions of a firm, emphasising on the techniques of financial analysis for a variety of real and financial assets. |
